NOMOS adds a black-dial world timer to its collection, and for the first time on this model the city ring and home-time display can be read in the dark.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOMOS Glash\u00fctte was founded in 1990 in Glash\u00fctte, the Saxon town at the heart of German watchmaking, and it builds its own calibers there. World time was already part of its catalogue before this model, in the more classical Z\u00fcrich family. At Watches and Wonders 2025, the brand brought the complication to its sporty Club collection with the Club Sport neomatik Worldtimer, pairing a steel case with an automatic caliber designed around the function. According to NOMOS, the silver version has won both the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 29, NOMOS added a fourth version to the permanent collection, alongside the blue, the silver and the white silver-plated dials. The Club Sport neomatik Worldtimer Dark keeps the case and caliber of those three and sets itself apart with a glossy black dial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black dial, more lume<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The other three versions use sunburst dials in blue and silver, whose tone shifts with the light, or a white silver-plated dial. The Dark's dial is glossy black, and against it the numerals, indexes, hands, city ring and home-time indicator appear in off-white. The combination gives very high contrast and a more understated look than the other versions. NOMOS pitches the watch for very different settings, from adventure travel to business meetings abroad, and the black dial suits that intention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the earlier versions, Super-LumiNova covered the numerals, indexes and hands. On the Dark it extends for the first time to the city ring and the 24-hour indicator, using cast luminous elements with a high pigment concentration that glow blue. At night, then, the local time, the selected city and the home time are all legible. The 24-hour indicator at 3 o'clock also separates day and night by color, so a glance is enough to tell whether it is day or night back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DUW 3202 caliber<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The DUW 3202 is an automatic caliber that NOMOS develops and produces in Glash\u00fctte, with the world-time mechanism built into the movement's own gear train. Everything runs through a single pusher at 2 o'clock. Each press moves the hour hand forward by one hour and turns the city disc one step, so the city for the new time zone sits under the red line at 12, while home time stays on the 24-hour indicator. To set the watch to a destination, the wearer presses until that city, or another in the same zone, reaches the red line. Because it moves in whole-hour steps, the pusher cannot handle zones with a half-hour offset, such as India's.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The movement is 4.8 mm tall and the case 9.9 mm, a figure NOMOS says places the watch among the slimmest world timers in production. The sapphire caseback shows the brand's usual finishing: Glash\u00fctte ribbing, temperature-blued screws and perlage. The rotor carries a gold globe as a nod to the world-time function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where to buy it<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In the United States, NOMOS sells the Worldtimer Dark through its online store, with import duties and taxes included in the price. In Spain it costs \u20ac4,400 on the bracelet through the brand's online store, and it is also carried by retailers such as El Cron\u00f3metro in Seville. NOMOS publishes no official prices for Latin America, and its online store's shipping list does not currently include countries in the region; buyers in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina or Chile can contact the brand about purchase and shipping options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A world timer in black<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Worldtimer Dark is the first black version in the permanent collection, and the dial is a draw in its own right: the glossy surface and off-white details give it a more understated look than the sunburst dials, equally at home with formal and casual clothes. On top of that, the city ring and home time can be read in the dark for the first time on this model, and NOMOS prices it the same as the blue version in both the US and Spain. A world-time complication in a 9.9 mm case, time-zone changes with a single pusher and 100 meters of water resistance with a screw-down crown, enough for swimming, round out the case in its favor. Against it, the power reserve of up to 42 hours will not carry the watch from Friday night to Monday morning, and the brand's website lists a six-month delivery time. Buyers who want a dial that changes with the light will find the same case and caliber in the blue and silver versions; for those after a black-dial world timer that stays understated and legible at any hour, the Dark is the version the collection was missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
