For James Bond Day, Omega has for the first time dedicated a watch to Spectre, the criminal organization that opposes 007, alongside a new blue edition for the agent himself.
Omega has been on James Bond's wrist since GoldenEye, the 1995 film in which Pierce Brosnan wore a Seamaster Professional 300M, and every special edition the brand has made for the franchise since then has been built around the agent or his allies. On October 5, James Bond Day, which marks the London premiere of Dr. No, the first film in the series, in 1962, Omega introduced two steel Seamaster Diver 300M models: one in 007's colours and one carrying the emblem of Spectre, the criminal organisation that employs the villain of that first film.

Two dials, two sides
The James Bond edition keeps the bezel Omega introduced in 2024 on the no-date Diver 300M, a grade 5 titanium ring with the diving scale in relief, and pairs it with a blue aluminium dial laser-engraved with the model's familiar wave pattern. Omega had already used aluminium in 2022 for the edition marking the franchise's 60th anniversary, whose dial drew on the GoldenEye watch. The Bond family coat of arms sits at 12 o'clock, between the double baton marker. In the dark, the hour and seconds hands glow blue like the indexes, while the minute hand glows green to match the bezel pip, so the hand that times a dive is easy to pick out.
The Spectre edition is more restrained. Its grained black dial carries no emblem, and the bezel uses a black ceramic ring with the same raised scale. Hands and indexes are those of a regular Diver 300M, with the same blue and green lume, and the only outward reference to the organisation is the word Spectre engraved on the caseback. Both editions come on the brushed steel mesh bracelet Omega used for the 2022 edition and also offers on its no-date catalogue models.

The Master Chronometer calibre 8806
Inside is the 8806, Omega's no-date automatic calibre. It has a single barrel and runs at 25,200 vph (3.5 Hz), with a 55-hour power reserve. It uses the Co-Axial escapement and a silicon balance spring, a non-magnetic material that is not distorted by the magnetic fields of everyday life.
That magnetic resistance is part of the Master Chronometer certification. The movement is first tested by COSC, the Swiss body that certifies chronometer precision, and the cased watch then goes through testing by METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, which checks its precision, its water resistance and its performance while exposed to a 15,000-gauss magnetic field. The required rate is 0 to +5 seconds per day.
The rotor, visible through the sapphire caseback, differs between the two. On the James Bond, it carries a rhodium-plated decoration shaped like the gun barrel that opens the 007 films; on the Spectre, it bears the octopus that serves as the organisation's symbol, blackened with PVD and sandblasted.

Pricing in Mexico and Spain
The two steel editions are priced identically: USD 8,600 in the United States and MXN 178,800 on Omega's official site for Mexico. Omega's Spanish site does not list a price and refers buyers to its boutiques. According to Omega, both have been on sale since October 5 in its boutiques and online store, with no cap on production. For collectors, the brand has also prepared two numbered sets of 77 each, one for each side, pairing the steel version, with a numbered plate at 9 o'clock, with a platinum-gold watch on an 18k white gold dial; each set costs USD 89,800, and the watches in it are not sold separately. In Colombia, Argentina or Chile, enquiries go through Omega's boutiques and authorised retailers in each country.

A watch for each side
The Spectre edition is the first Omega has dedicated to 007's adversaries, and the brand designed it so that, seen from the front, it reads as a black Diver 300M with a ceramic bezel, suited to daily wear, while the link to the films is kept to the rotor and caseback. The James Bond edition, with its blue aluminium dial and the Bond family crest, follows the look of the 2022 edition.

The closest regular-production model, reference 210.30.42.20.06.002, shares the steel case, titanium bezel, mesh bracelet and calibre 8806, with a grey dial, and costs USD 7,300. The USD 1,300 difference covers each edition's own dial, the decorated rotor, the engraved caseback and the presentation box, blue with the 007 logo for the James Bond and black with the Spectre emblem for the other. Together, they put the agent and his adversary in the same model for the first time, with 007's blue dial on one and Spectre's black dial on the other.
